Shoot #4:  Mayhem’s Back

Hello loyal DGW fans and Super Excitees,

Once again it's another edition of Shoot where I express what's on my mind. DGW wise, we've all been really busy other things in life lately, but don't worry, we're always thinking of new things and the stuff that's coming could be some of the best yet.

I'd like to address the NWA-TNA for a bit this week.  They are basically the #2 game in town now.  They have some really great talent:  Raven, D-Lo Brown, Jerry Lynn, A.J. Styles, Sonny Siaki and the Heavyweight Champ, Jeff Jarrett.  And those are only a few.  I've always been partial to Jarrett since he is sort of a "hometown boy" for us here at DGW.  But the NWA has been going for almost a year now (I didn't think it would last that long) and shows no signs of slowing down (we hope).  I'd really like to see them succeed and give the WWE the good kick-in-the-ass that they need.  For those of you unfamiliar with their product, check out their site: http://www.nwatna.com .

On to the WWE:

I personally think as an overall whole, the product has gotten better. There is still a long ways to go, but we'll keep our fingers crossed. I'll break it down by the rosters.

On RAW, the addition of Stone Cold to the co-GM spot is a breath of fresh air.  Let's face it, the man is pretty much done as a wreslter, but he is still great to have as an on-air personality:  "I'm trying real hard to maintain my composure." ...

Da Man has finally arrived and I actually like the direction they're going with him ... NO OVERKILL!  Goldberg is best when kept in small doses.

I sincerely hope that they are setting the stages for a Kliq stable ... that would simply rule ...

Ric Flair ... the man can still wrestle ... enough said ...

And damnit, it's about time that Christian is getting the exposure he deserves.  Yes, I am proud to be a Christian mark.

Why can't Steiner be a heel?  He's sooooooo much better that way as opposed to his earth-shattering tag team with the man-who-will-never-get-over, Test.

Although, I'm not a fan of his in ring work, I hope Regal cna be used as an on-air talent during his illness.  A co-GM on Smackdown could be a nice fit for him.

For some odd reason, the team of Kane and RVD is starting to grow on me.

I really dig the Highlight Reel ...No on better for a segment like that than Y2J.

Hurry back, Rock ...

And finally, it's about time the Intercontinental title has come back ... enough said.

On the Smackdown side of things, I'm glad that Kurt Angle will be returning soon.  The whole Team Angle stable is a really great fit for all three involved.  And I must say that I think Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin have improved greatly in the 6 months they have been in the WWE.

Eddie Guerrero ... the man is simply amazing.  Sucks that Chavo is injured ... Los Guererros is a great team.  Sure as hell better than Eddie and Tajiri ...

Brock continues to dominate, but he's too babyface now ...

Packaged the correct way, Big Show and A-Train could be a great tag team ... Maybe put them with Paul Heyman ... oh wait, they tried that, but f'ed it up (as usual) ...

Let Rey Mysterio fight cruiserweights ... that's what we all want to see.

And as big of a Mattitude mark as I am, Matt Hardy is not a cruiserweight. So therefore, does not need to have the crusierweight title.  That's why they need a title on Smackdown that is the equivalent of the I-C title. Maybe reinstate the European title or bring back the old WCW U.S. title. Just a thought ...

I'm starting to like the F.B.I. stable ... Hey at least they are trying to put people into stables ...

Poor Benoit ...

Rhyno ... see Benoit

There is no one on the Smackdown roster that has improved more than John Cena.

Maybe the time off Nathan Jones is getting is for improvement ... he needs it.

At least 'Taker will be back soon ...

Hopefully Edge's recovery is on schedule.  Like him or not, he is a great talent.

MMMMM ... Torrie and Sable ...

That about wraps it up for this edition of Shoot ... before I go, one last thought ...

R.I.P. Miss Elizabeth ... you were always the #1 Diva in my eyes ...

Take care,

Adam Mayhem
